Job Description – Finance Intern (FIN0005980)

 

Description:

GMIO has sales, manufacturing and distribution operations in Asia/Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe. The internship will be with GMIO Finance – Controllers’ Group, which consists of regional reporting & analysis, regional consolidation, regional internal control and regional technical teams.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  1. Regional Analysis/Consolidation tasks
  • Monitor and obtain Business Units’ submissions in GMIO Controller's Automated Request System (CARS) for requests (e.g. Inventory Aging/Roll, FX on cash, Fair Value & Restricted Cash, PP&E reconciliation, Sales incentive walk, etc.).
  • Assist supervisor(s) for ensuring complete and timely submissions from all BUs in GMIO region.
  • Prepare consolidated reports based on BU’s submission.
  • Perform preliminary review of BU’s submission and consolidated regional report.

 

  1. Headquarter (HQ) Accounting tasks
  • Tax invoices registration/log.
  • Rental payment monthly report.
  • Allied company/third party billing creation.
  • Monthly analysis and account reconciliation update.
  • Monthly journal entry filing.

 

  1. Internal Control tasks
  • Expense reports audit.
  • SOX testing support.

 

  1. Other tasks
  • Run Allied Imbalance reports from GEARS and report to manager.
  • Run Trial Balances reports from GEARS for each business unit in the region.
  • Retrieve CJEs from GEARS for review.
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

 

Qualification:

Requirements:-

  • Commitment to work for at least 3 days per week and last for at least 4-6 months is a must.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting related, Mathematics or Statistics, Business Administration and Economics that with minor Finance or Accounting module.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, result driven, excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Job Description - HR Intern – Security (HUM0003529)

 

Description:

Purpose: Support GM China HR Security team to complete the related document work, help security team to organize internal training and support the daily operation.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Translate and design the related training or code materials, including newsletter, workshop logistic materials, etc.
  • Coordinate and support security survey and conferences/events with GM executives.
  • Maintain and update the security database and other historical files.

Qualification:

  • Good knowledge and skills of PowerPoint, Excel and other photo/video editing software, prefer the one who has the skill of using PS software.
  • Strong bilingual skills, solid Chinese and English writing skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • The ability to be a team player.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent with emphasis on Legal, Public Relations, English or data management.
  • Language: Excellent command in English speaking and writing.
